TMZ Sports published a clip that featured Simpson saying he was still angry with his wife after her death.
He added that while he didn't remember saying anything to Nicole during her viewing, someone told him that they heard him say, "I'm sorry."
Simpson said he was asked by Nicole's mother if he had anything to do with her death, and he insisted that he did not.
The interview featured in the special is from 2006, and it consists of Simpson speaking to Judith Regan, publisher of the controversial book If I Did It, a hypothetical account of how Simpson would have murdered his ex-wife and Ron Goldman.
In 1995, Simpson was acquitted of both murders after a lengthy and highly publicized trial. He subsequently lost a civil case.
Simpson was sentenced to 33 years in prison in 2008 for his role in an armed robbery in Las Vegas. He was released on parole in October 2017 after serving nine years.
